Cultivating Faith and the Inner World of the Feminine

The world of the masculine is external, while the world of the feminine is deeply internal.

Which means that to truly value our feminine natures, we need to deeply value the internal processes that we go through as women.

But because these processes are unseen, this can feel so challenging. In our world, we’re taught that the things of value, are what we “produce.”

Yet the essence of femininity doesn’t require this external manifestation to be of value. Yes, the feminine does give birth to seen realities through her relationship with masculine energies, but doing this is not how her inherent value is measured. Which means that as feminine beings, when we try to measure ourselves in this way, we end up constantly diminishing and doubting ourselves, and thinking that we are falling short.

For so long I berated myself for not moving quickly enough in the external. It started in the education system as a teacher, where I knew that it was more than about what my students could achieve outwardly. Yet the schools only wanted to focus on what they were achieving, according to these linear standards of success. They didn’t understand that I could see and feel when a child was happy, and engaged and enjoying learning. If the external output wasn’t there, it was like it had no value.

I left eduction because I felt so discouraged by this, but continued to notice how I would devalue the feminine in myself. Especially when I started my business, I had so many moments of feeling like I was wrong for thinking that I could run a business, when I wasn’t immediately creating results. That I needed to do things more in line with how I’d seen others do them, if wanted to be “successful.”

In retrospect, this was another initiation into the feminine. Because a big part of the feminine is the cultivation of faith. Of believing in the unseen, and knowing that there will be an organic manifestation of what’s occurring internally, when things are ready.

Much like nature, we can’t plant something and then force it to grow. A lot of the initial growth takes place underground, in the unseen, in the dark soils of the earth. We don’t force the plant to appear. Instead, we continue tending to the soil, giving it the nutrients and environment that it needs to grow, so it can sustain itself when it finally does appear in the outer world.

I devalued my feminine value because I didn’t fully appreciate the organic coding of femininity that can only be understood from within. I didn’t allow myself to properly embrace and have faith in the slow and steady way the feminine grows and matures in the deep soils of a woman’s internality.

I see this same self-doubt in the women I work with now, and how we have been so deeply convinced that we are failing if we don’t immediately have something to “show” in the external world.

But what we haven’t been taught, is that this process of going inward is what opens us up to allow for the penetration of Truth (fragments of which are revealed to each of us in our own unique way and time). This penetration is what the feminine requires in order for her to feel ready to manifest (birth) in the outer world. If she tries to rush this process, she ends up affixing to synthetic creations and timelines that no longer serve her true nature.

The feminine, as the receiver of Truth, is what the deeper spiritual purpose of femininity is. Yet to attune to this deeper purpose, the first step is to have faith in our feminine essence, not because of what we can produce or “get” from it, but because of its inherent value.

Faith is perhaps the most potent revelation of the feminine, because it’s this unseen substance that is the spiritual foundation of our beings, and the deepest means of connecting with the God-infused truth of who we truly are.
