Blooming Into Your Desires, Dropping New Age Manifestation & Creating through the Energy of Femininity

Desire is inherent in the feminine being.

Yet what I’ve observed in traditional self-development, as well as spiritual/new age circles, is the lack of nuance in understanding the concept of desire.

On the one hand, there’s the striving towards a ‘desire-less’ state of being. A place where we have no desires, and just let things unfold, not getting attached to anything.

This can feel so harsh to a woman’s soul, because she’s intimately attuned to the undercurrent of desire in her life. It forms a vital part of her being. So to be told she needs to banish desire from her life can sap her natural radiance and aliveness, and have her push down her organic feminine essence.

Then there’s the more traditional “goal-setting” mindset of masculine paradigms, where we start with a desire in mind and work backwards to figure out the means to the end. Yet this focus on the end result leads to a constant striving, a drive to take action just to “get” something from it. The feminine soul is malnourished when this becomes the overarching focus, usually being forced to compromise herself to meet these ends- something that further diminishes the trust women have in their own feminine essence. As well as this, often women are externally conditioned to desire what isn’t actually meant for them. This creates an inner tension between what they’ve been told they should desire, and what the deeper part of them actually desires.

Then there’s the ‘create your own reality’ new age manifestation approach. An approach that is perhaps the most damaging to a woman’s soul, purely because it entices so many women into its field, due to it feeling softer, more magical. Like goal setting to reach a desire, New Age manifestation also positions desire as something to “get”, something to be constantly striving towards. Yet this time, there is another element, where women are told that if they don’t meet their desires, then something is wrong wth them, or “blocking” them. They therefore need to heal and fix themselves, before they can create their desire.

Desire is no longer the playful essence of a woman’s heart, something that enlivens and inspires her, but is instead a thing she needs to achieve through relentless inner work.

This type of works-based inner inquiry, leads a woman into harmful loops that cause her to once again betray and lose trust in her true feminine nature. Because while the feminine is designed to seek inward, she’s not meant to be doing so as a way to fix herself so she can finally manifest a desire. Instead, the inward path of the feminine is there to allow her to connect with her essence and find the true source of her desires.

This true source, of course, is God, and coming into relationship with this divinity is the root a woman’s desires (and why manifesting societally-conditioned desires can feel so unfulfilling to a woman’s deeper soul).

When a woman is aligned with her deepest desire for union with God, her heart naturally holds the desires meant for her.

Then, the process of desire and manifestation becomes a natural dance, a blooming into her God-infused path, rather than a striving road of trying to be more, do more and have more.

This is why for a woman, activating her organic femininity through the process of softening into life, is intimately linked to her relationship with desire.

Desire IS the heart of a woman. But until her heart is re-infused with the natural divinity she has been conditioned away from, she will always feel pushed to desire and strive for what the external world has told her she should.

Like nature, a woman is here to grow her fruits slowly, naturally and in synergy with the natural currents of life, blooming in her own perfect time and way.
