I am often asked about what I use/recommend for gentle creation, marketing and business, so here is a list of platforms/resources that I currently use to create and share my creative work/services.

Obviously my business is personal and creatively/spiritually driven, and as a result, this is what works for me and my needs currently. So this is definitely not a ‘This is what you should use’ list, but rather a ‘This is what I have been using- hopefully sharing it is helpful to you’ list.

If I change/begin using any new resources/platforms, I will update or add to this list.

Squarespace | website builder/hosting service.

If you’ve been here a while you know that I love having an online home away from social media, and I find Squarespace to be one of the best and most intuitive website platforms around. (You can read more about my website building process here). While I use other platforms alongside Squarespace (see below) you can do many of these things directly with Squarespace (eg, email marketing, course creation etc). I have just chosen to use the most basic Squarespace tier and then integrate different platforms within my website, as I enjoy hand-picking what works best for what I am offering/creating, and integrating as needed | explore Squarespace

Flodesk | email marketing platform.

I’ve been using Flodesk since it was being beta tested, initially drawn to this email marketing platform because I wanted a flexible platform that was easy to use and had beautiful, intuitive design.

Some things Flodesk can help you do very easily: offer digital products, both free and paid; create email courses; create landing pages; create lead magnets; create both simple and more extended work flows; create sign-up forms to embed in your website, and much more. Flodesk has also recently set up email subscriptions, so you could conceivably set-up a Substack-type publication where you charge for your writings. Flodesk integrates easily with both Squarespace, Podia and many other platforms easily (no code knowledge needed).

Podia | course creator

Podia is the main platform I use to deliver my courses/digital products. You can create an entire website and blog via Podia (the blog function wasn’t available when I started, which is why I host my website on Squarespace and just embed the Podia checkout links into my website). Podia also has inbuilt email marketing (but I personally prefer Flodesk, so chose not to upgrade to Podia’s email marketing). Podia has been extremely reliable with a super responsive helpdesk, and I like that I can offer digital products, on demand courses, drip-fed courses, as well as easily creating pre-sales, discount codes, bundles and more | explore Podia

Fourthwall | e-commerce platform

Forthwall is a platform that I have trialled for selling PDFs/digital books, and really liked it. It also functions as a Merchant of Record, like Gumtree or Ebay do, which can be helpful for tax purposes, depending on your location. Fourthwall does not seem to be so well known, so I thought I would list it here, as even though it is advertised more for influencers, it is a really simple platform to use to sell digital products, as well as memberships and various physical products | explore Fourthwall

Calendly | appointment scheduling software

I have traditionally used Calendly for my 1:1 service bookings/payments. It works well for me because it’s simple to set up/use, and I can pay monthly and cancel the service for periods that I am not offering any 1:1s. | explore Calendly

Pinterest | sharing/marketing platform

Pinterest is the main platform I use to share my work. (I wrote this blog about Pinterest to help you learn more about why I use this particular platform) This, combined with my website and Flodesk email list is the core of my gentle visibility approach.
